We need you to move your lockbox

Is your lockbox on your car? If so, we need to take some additional steps to ensure your car is as secure as possible.

Victoria Police have informed us that they've seen an increase in car theft in Melbourne (not specific to Uber Carshare), so we want to make sure we're doing everything we can to secure your car.

You have a couple of options:

1. Move your lockbox

The best option is to move your lockbox from your car to your property. If you have a fence, gate, pipe or gas meter that the lockbox can loop around, you can move your lockbox there. This is quick and easy to do yourself. See the Help Centre for instructions.

2. Get a FREE immobiliser

If you don't have somewhere you can secure your lockbox on your property, we can install an immobiliser in your vehicle free of charge. You and your Borrowers will just need to enter a code to start the engine.
